ESQ: A new life

Many successful CEOs, executive managers, businessman, etc took ESQ course and change their life. ESQ (Emotional Spiritual Quotient) is not a new thing. It’s just that we’ve forgotten about it. It’s already been created 1400 years ago. ESQ is for everyone and it takes place globally. Regardless what religion you are. ESQ is a new way of life. Imagine how great these people. They even gave talk to the professors at Oxford University. (And there are numerous fascinating numbers and statistics being shown yesterday but I failed to stuff my head with everything–I’m just a weak human 🙁 ). The numbers of alumni members simply is getting bigger, globally. Their alumni members is not common people. Like I said, businessman, rich and famous intelligent people. The company who wants to do staff training and improve human resources send the staffs to ESQ talks. And I’m not talking crap. There are thousands people gave good testimonial about ESQ and probably now the number have reached millions.

ESQ is the new trend (Among elites and rich people for this time being). Why do we need ESQ? We only realise this when at the end of the day, we don’t know why we accumulate our properties, dollars and so forth. We only realise the need of ESQ in our life, then there are many intelligent people give up easily as they do not know what’s the purpose they are being created.

A glimpse from yesterday’s presentation: The Golden Gate Bridge in the US, is world’s finest architecture, but on January 2008, Mr. Arry went there and tell us the tragic story of the bridge. The numbers of suicide was being kept from the public, however, as the numbers reached 10K, the government decided to put high fence, to prevent people from jumping from the Golden Gate. Counselling line was also being placed on the bridge, hoping to give hope for losers (I call them losers because they quit from life). It’s no longer be the symbol of the greatness of United States. They are considered successful nation, but how many lead life peacefully and happily?

Yesterday, IPBA had ESQ preview and I don’t have to pay for it. I was so excited to come because I know it costs me 1K++ if I want to join it. (I was interested with ESQ since I watched the videos in Plymouth). So yeah, Mr Firdaus Djambri, gave talk and he is funny. Probably due to language differences (Malaysian Malay language and Indonesia’s), there are some stuffs that people don’t understand. But yeah, thanks to my exposure to Indonesian sinetron and movies, his jokes are understandable. Oh, did I tell you he’s cute? His Indonesian accent as well. Never heard such enthusiastic talk, for 22 years. He doesn’t give up although the crowd shows boring faces.

But what I had yesterday was only a glimpse of it (ESQ preview). Just a sneek peek and to know how great it is, is to taste it. So people, I highly encourage you to go to ESQ talks and experience a better life after that. May Allah bless the efforts of ESQ trainers and Insya Allah, we can make this world a better place and lead a peaceful life in this world and hereafter.

So tomorrow (16 Feb) they are going to conduct a session for university students and they give a very very good offer. You only pay RM 550 once and you can join the alumni and attend the talks as many as you want for the rest of your life. Wow. Very attempting offer but not for this time being 🙁

Membina masjid

The Pleasure of Your Company’. Dah lama download ia. Dulu takde masa nak tengok.  (Gosh my BeeEm is so broken). Sekarang ni musim nak membina masjid. Alhamdulillah. Dah sampai masanya. Tahniah semua. Mudahan bahagia hingga ke jannah.

Oh ye. Lagi satu kebaikan membina masjid (kahwin).

Kalau siang warnanya bagai permata. Waktu malam ia bersinar mengikut cahaya lampu. Seni binaan memang hebat. Semuanya hasil kerja orang Terengganu (yeke? takkan takde sedikit orang Indon pun? Ahahaha) Hiasan dalaman pun cantik dan halus. Tapi malangnya ia tak digunakan untuk solat Jumaat (I pun tatau kenapa. Katanya belum taraf masjid jami’). Baginda pun muka tak berapa ceria la membaca titah, mendoakan agar negeri takluk beliau dilindungi dari malapetaka. Mungkin kerana baginda terasa kehilangan seorang Mamanda yang bisa membaca doa tanpa mengharapkan Sang Mufti. Kemudian hati kecil ini bertanya:

Orang datang solat di masjid ni, nak lihat keindahan masjid ke sebab nak solat?

Apa point buat masjid lawa-lawa. Bacaan lanjut.

I’m impressed with the geekiness of Terengganu people who read Quran using computer. Welcome to the club. Heheh.

Mudahan rakyat Terengganu dapat memanfaatkan dan mengimarahkan masjid tersebut.

Moral: Binalah masjid kalau anda mampu. Sekianterimakasih.

Otai Vs McD

I craved for burger, as I don’t have many chance to eat it while I was in Plymouth. Is it worth it to wait for 2 years? (I ate a lot of McD before I went to the UK). Thus, I am comparing America’s most famous burger and Malaysia’s .

1- Cleanliness: Otai burger sellers handle the burgers and utensils with high level hygiene. Anywhere. It is proven by others as well (you see, after I promote it to people, I ask their reflection/feedback as well). While for McDonald, (I had a few trips and sometimes accompanying people) I am totally frustrated with the uncleanliness. Not just in Lumut, in KL as well. So the basic requirement for a food franchise, hygiene, wins by Otai.

2- Quality: McD burgers used to be the tastiest, but nowadays, the fries are overcooked. The burger size is shrinking. Big Mac’s bread is so thin to the extent once you hold it, it can tear apart easily. Otai burger’s taste is undoubtfully great. The meat is cooked with perfect timing. The taste is great. Taste it by yourself, then you’ll believe me.

3- Price: Last time, it was worth to spend RM10 at McDonald. Bak kata orang, kenyang nak mati. But now, I don’t think so. Otai burger’s price is a bit expensive than normal burger price (I mean, gerai burger like Ramly), but it never exceed 4 ringgit per burger, although the taste is priceless.

4- Reputation: McD has established worldwide, but there are a few controversial legal actions taken against them. Nowadays, my impression for McD is getting worse. For Otai, its successful story has captured by local Malaysian media. Many has found out that its’ great taste and reputation. I belive Otai’s chain will be larger and stronger in the future if they keep up their reputation, principles and the recipe.

Verdict: Otai wins, 4-0. As I reached Malaysia, I was eager to taste my favourite McD burger. However, I was disappointed. It’s not just me. My family members wish not to step into the restaurant anymore (we had really bad experience you see). Some of my friends agree with my points (as stated above). So, feed yourself better food because you deserve to eat good and your money should be spent on good food.

PS: You are what you eat.

*This is author’s first review on restaurant and food.

back!

Hee hee. Finally. I online guna laptop kawan sambil menggunakan hotspot dari menara Telekom. BTW, so many things to say.

I miss the time reading people’s blog and blogging about anything under the sun.

Thank you for the comments, people. Very touching.

Today I went out with Azwan, Aini Shamsi and Omark. Tiring rupenye cari komputer kat Loyat. Penuh sesak bahu ke bahu. Trafik manusia memang padat. Hujan pula. Loyat buat duit dengan tandas. Lima puluh sen sekali. Surau Low Yat Plaza, menghampakan.

Malaysia climate makes my sensitive skin have heat rashes. Huu~ Camana nak jadi beautiful kalau duduk kat country panas mcm ni? I think it’s due to my allergy which I get after a while in UK.

BTW, thank you aini shamsi for the souvenirs from Adelaide.

Gosh. I’m bloody tired. The sun in Malaysia saps my energy. The pollution and cigaret’s smoke as well. *sigh*

Proton-Muslim car

WARNING: I am not writing this to bash Proton, Muslims and their family. I am writing this because a reason, sensibility. No asked me to write and no one pay me to write, and I belong to no political organisation.

I discovered in BBC news of Proton’s ‘Muslim car’ on BBC, not in local Malaysian newspapers, last week. Then Azwan and I made fun of it. Imagining transformers and stuffs. No offence. We were just entertaining ourselves.

You can buy it from ebay for less than 20 pounds as well [click on pic].

I am not proud of Proton. Rarely I see Malaysian senior officers parade themselves in Proton. The Protons I saw here in Plymouth are nothing but a wreck running on wheels. Don’t get me started on the paintjob–it looked like it has been submerged in Clorox for days.

And then I discovered a car enthusiast’s forum website. What little pride I had for our Proton evaporated right there and then. The best comment I found is:

Read the rest here.

Ainee: Thank you Proton. Now they have new idea for terrorist joke.

So tell me, this is not another white elephant project which will be self-destructed after some time, just like the RM4.5 millions Perak State Park Corporation administrative building.

I heard they ban yellow wardrobe for the day. What if for the people who are working for DiGi ek? Kena tangkap sekali tak?

I wonder what will happen to people who are wearing Perak, Kedah, and Selangor’s jersey. (Is there any other state FC that got yellow on their jerseys?)

For the pengantin (newly weds) who have YELLOW as their theme, do you mind to caruk your experience here?

What will happen to blondes weih? I cuak nieh.

WordPress is in Bahasa Melayu

Salam. Good news. WordPress is in Bahasa Melayu. Thus, the report from National Geographic concerning of the declination of English as the first language, is for real, and the prediction of: “languages of the rank just below—such as Bengali, Tamil, and Malay—are now growing the fastest”, is taking place.

However, shall I be glad for the news since I am a Malay (Banjar is technically Malay in Malaysia) and able speak and understand Bahasa Melayu?
