Membina masjid

The Pleasure of Your Company’. Dah lama download ia. Dulu takde masa nak tengok.  (Gosh my BeeEm is so broken). Sekarang ni musim nak membina masjid. Alhamdulillah. Dah sampai masanya. Tahniah semua. Mudahan bahagia hingga ke jannah.

Oh ye. Lagi satu kebaikan membina masjid (kahwin).

Kalau siang warnanya bagai permata. Waktu malam ia bersinar mengikut cahaya lampu. Seni binaan memang hebat. Semuanya hasil kerja orang Terengganu (yeke? takkan takde sedikit orang Indon pun? Ahahaha) Hiasan dalaman pun cantik dan halus. Tapi malangnya ia tak digunakan untuk solat Jumaat (I pun tatau kenapa. Katanya belum taraf masjid jami’). Baginda pun muka tak berapa ceria la membaca titah, mendoakan agar negeri takluk beliau dilindungi dari malapetaka. Mungkin kerana baginda terasa kehilangan seorang Mamanda yang bisa membaca doa tanpa mengharapkan Sang Mufti. Kemudian hati kecil ini bertanya:

Orang datang solat di masjid ni, nak lihat keindahan masjid ke sebab nak solat?

Apa point buat masjid lawa-lawa. Bacaan lanjut.

I’m impressed with the geekiness of Terengganu people who read Quran using computer. Welcome to the club. Heheh.

Moral: Binalah masjid kalau anda mampu. Sekianterimakasih.

Otai Vs McD

I craved for burger, as I don’t have many chance to eat it while I was in Plymouth. Is it worth it to wait for 2 years? (I ate a lot of McD before I went to the UK). Thus, I am comparing America’s most famous burger and Malaysia’s .

1- Cleanliness: Otai burger sellers handle the burgers and utensils with high level hygiene. Anywhere. It is proven by others as well (you see, after I promote it to people, I ask their reflection/feedback as well). While for McDonald, (I had a few trips and sometimes accompanying people) I am totally frustrated with the uncleanliness. Not just in Lumut, in KL as well. So the basic requirement for a food franchise, hygiene, wins by Otai.

2- Quality: McD burgers used to be the tastiest, but nowadays, the fries are overcooked. The burger size is shrinking. Big Mac’s bread is so thin to the extent once you hold it, it can tear apart easily. Otai burger’s taste is undoubtfully great. The meat is cooked with perfect timing. The taste is great. Taste it by yourself, then you’ll believe me.

3- Price: Last time, it was worth to spend RM10 at McDonald. Bak kata orang, kenyang nak mati. But now, I don’t think so. Otai burger’s price is a bit expensive than normal burger price (I mean, gerai burger like Ramly), but it never exceed 4 ringgit per burger, although the taste is priceless.

4- Reputation: McD has established worldwide, but there are a few controversial legal actions taken against them. Nowadays, my impression for McD is getting worse. For Otai, its successful story has captured by local Malaysian media. Many has found out that its’ great taste and reputation. I belive Otai’s chain will be larger and stronger in the future if they keep up their reputation, principles and the recipe.

Verdict: Otai wins, 4-0. As I reached Malaysia, I was eager to taste my favourite McD burger. However, I was disappointed. It’s not just me. My family members wish not to step into the restaurant anymore (we had really bad experience you see). Some of my friends agree with my points (as stated above). So, feed yourself better food because you deserve to eat good and your money should be spent on good food.

PS: You are what you eat.

*This is author’s first review on restaurant and food.

resolutions

I arrived in Manjung last night, riding Plusliner. Debor juga naik bas itu. Tapi itulah, “mati kat mana-mana pun boleh”.

Ok. There are ups and downs in 2007, but I think it’s the most saddening year in my life.

I lost my aunt and not able to call my family as I was in Dublin, Ireland.

I fall sick often. 2007 witnesses how fragile I am. Being allergic to many stuffs.

Dissertation was pain in the ___, especially when something bad comes in between, coping with dissertation and my unstable emotion is hard, but I managed to do it with supports from people who love me.

Leaving MARJON means I am leaving my luxury life. No cleaner to clean up my bedroom and house. No 24/7 internet connection. No individual (read: princess) bedroom. No more trips to ASDA. I no longer have chance to binge various types of cheesecakes, Haagen Dasz ice cream, Ben and Jerry ice cream not to forget, chocolate, Italian food, and many more! *sob*

OK. my maal hijrah resolutions.

1. improve, each and every day, in every sense.
2. have passion and faith in Malaysian education.
3. read more (Quran verses and books)
4. lose weight until 53 kilos.
5. not to be brokenhearted again.
6. climb hill/mountain
7. go to gym at least once a week
8. save more money for rainy days and my future.
9. buy a nintendo wii sports package (then I’ll stop going to the gym)
10. love people more and love more people.

I will evaluate my self at the end of this year. I don’t plan to do much this year because I’m bloody mentally tired. I don’t want to aim to do something big, but I plan to go with the flow.

Wonder why I don’t talk about relationship (read: engagement and wedding) anymore? coz I’m a grown up girl and talking about it, when you’re not sure of it, hurts. Especially when it is not menjadik. Hence, the #5 resolution takes place this year.

back!

Hee hee. Finally. I online guna laptop kawan sambil menggunakan hotspot dari menara Telekom. BTW, so many things to say.

I miss the time reading people’s blog and blogging about anything under the sun.

Thank you for the comments, people. Very touching.

Today I went out with Azwan, Aini Shamsi and Omark. Tiring rupenye cari komputer kat Loyat. Penuh sesak bahu ke bahu. Trafik manusia memang padat. Hujan pula. Loyat buat duit dengan tandas. Lima puluh sen sekali. Surau Low Yat Plaza, menghampakan.

Malaysia climate makes my sensitive skin have heat rashes. Huu~ Camana nak jadi beautiful kalau duduk kat country panas mcm ni? I think it’s due to my allergy which I get after a while in UK.

BTW, thank you aini shamsi for the souvenirs from Adelaide.

Gosh. I’m bloody tired. The sun in Malaysia saps my energy. The pollution and cigaret’s smoke as well. *sigh*

This is a Public Service Announcement made on behalf of Ainee, the owner of this blog.

Comeback

Ramainya orang suruh saya pulang. Ya. Mahu pulang la ni.

This time I come back for good. Soalan glemer: perasaan? Jawapan saya: Mixed feelings. Huu~~ Lagi beberapa jam nak naik flight and these are the things I’m going to miss:

1-MARJON– Obviously. Thousand times better than IPBA

2- Lovely people of Plymouth– Since we are not so urban, the traditional and good manners are still preserved. I’m going to miss pakcik bas says ‘Are you okay malove?’. Nanti kat Malaysia you will be yelled at tau dalam bas. “Dalam lagi! Dalam lagi!”. Silap haribulan kena raba. Dah sempit sangat. Uh~~ I still remember our trip to the city masa christmas shopping itu hari. Sungguh lovely sangat orang2 Plymouth. Masing2 nak bagi tempat duduk. Akhlak mulia sungguh.

3- The food: Kat sini la belajar makan cous cous instead of nasi and develop my culinary skills of Italian food. Chewah. Last time my diet works. Pastuh balik Malaysia. Hampeh. Expanding my waistline. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! *pulls hair*

4- The internet: Although the speed is considered slow in here, but, it is wayyyyyyyy faster than the fastest internet connection speed in Malaysia.

5- The library and books: Oh my god. Why can’t IPBA library be like MARJON’s. It’s not that we’re that miskin. Kalau expanditure utk education dilebihkan, takkan la rakyat Malaysia susah nak cari buku bagus-bagus di library. *membawa diri ke Singapura*

Huu~~ I’m going to pack this desktop and am going to miss for a day

*hug and kiss my own desktop*

Will be in Malaysia in a day. Insya Allah.

Lagu ini hari ini

Kawan… Dunia Kita Memang Berbeza
Jalan Kita Melencong Dan Lurus
Namun Matlamat Kita Tetap Sama
Jadilah Insan Yang Tulus

Hidupku Aku Yang Rasakan
Bukan Seperti Yang Kau Andaikan
Tak Seindah Yang Kau Anggapkan
Tapi Cukup Untukku Dendangkan
Lagu Ini Aku Tulis Hari Ini
Sekadar Untuk Sendiri Renungi
Bukan Saling Menyalahi
Tiada Sebab Yang Tersembunyi

Duniaku…
Tak Seindah Pandanganmu
Namun Cukup Untukku
Dendangkan Padamu
Lagu Ini Hari Ini…

Mereka Semua Tak Peduli
Apa Yang Telah Aku Lalui
Ada Yang Hanya Tahu Mengeji
Syukur Masih Ada Yang Mengingati
Kawan, Lihat Diriku Ini
Kita Hanya Beza Rupa Hakikatnya Sama

Tak Hindar Salah PadaNya
Bukankah Kita Telah Berjanji Pada Dia
Untuk Saling Menyanyangi
Kasihnya Bawa Kita Ke Sana…

Duniaku…
Tak Seindah Pandanganmu
Namun Cukup Untukku
Dendangkan Padamu
Lagu Ini Hari Ini…
…Untuk Kita Renung Kembali
Bila Tiba Masanya Nanti
Apakah Kau Masih Mendengar Lagu Ku Ini?

Ingatlah Kita Suatu Hari Nanti
Semua Pasti Pergi Tiada Terkecuali
Pergi Ke Sana Menemui Guru Sejati
Dia Yang Bersemayam Di Arasy Yang Abadi

Waktu Itu Lagu ini Tiada Erti Lagi
Dan Pastinya Tiada Yang Mendengari
Asalkan Siapa Yang Ada Sekarang
Bisa Menilai Yang Boleh Dan Yang Terlarang

Janji Dari Ilah mu Pasti Hadir
Dunia Ini Pasti Berakhir
Ingatlah Wahai Semua Musafir
Hari Yang Akhir… Hari Yang Akhir… Kian Menghampir…

*Terima kasih kepada Tuan Panglima Yasir Tamizi.
