Halloween costumes

Nuffnang Nokia Silent Halloween is coming up, so I’m writing what to wear for the Halloween party.

Sarah Palin has created a fashion craze in the US. Everyone wants to have her spectacles and wigs. But to have her costume this Halloween, Abraham Issa (the owner of Buffalo Breath Costumes) commented “Everyone is asking for her, but she came into the picture too late, so no one had time to make the mask,” Issa said. “You have to do glasses and a wig.”

Fashionably kind

Today is blog action day. Bloggers will talk about poverty and ways to reduce it. I am jumping into the bandwagon (of bloggers) who would like to help with the world crisis. Enough of the talk, here’s what we can do to reduce poverty, locally and globally.

Donation or charity night is a glamourous act, to raise fund to curb poverty. But what if you can’t do one?

  1. Organize your wardrobe. Labels them to: keep, donate and sell (sounds like ‘Sex and The City‘ scene huh?). Now, to keep labels, is meant to be in your wardrobe. To donate: is to be given away to orphanage or charity home. To sell: If you have quite a good collection of designer’s clothes, sell them online and give away the money to charity organizations like TV3 or  Aman Palestin.
  2. Post an entry about poverty, during Blog Action Day (that is today, 15th October). Give suggestions how to reduce poverty and help poor people around you. Like, what I’m doing now. You can adapt the way you write it, according to your blog style.
  3. If you can’t adopt children from 3rd world country like Angelina Jolie, why not adopt a pet (like Samantha). SPCA has a lot of animals to be adopted. Great good deed starts with a small good deed, innit?
  4. Think of children who are motherless due to breast cancer. Before it happens, try as much as we can to prevent the problem (breast cancer). October is a month for Breast Cancer Awareness (Pink Ribbon). Estee Lauder promotes about it by showering KL tower with pink lights. Me? I wear pink ribbon and spread ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ message by posting entry about it in my blog. By supporting Pink Ribbon day, it will fund economically-challenged breast cancer patients. It is some way to help poverty, innit?
  5. Do small good deeds. After all, when you do good, you will feel good. There are quite a number of poor people in Malaysia. So, help them by giving them shelter, money and clothes. 1901 hotdog kiosk is looking for volunteers to help them to distribute foods for homeless people around KL. Join 1901 and show your concern towards poverty. It is time to show how human we are.

After all, kindness is always fashionable.

Blogging hiatus

I have been on a long hiatus and this is the reason why.

I was helping some teachers with the preparation of merdeka celebration and I was calling some people for help. My phone was by my side when I was doing my work. The only time I left my phone with those presents was when I push the boxes into a room, which distance is less than a metre.

When I want to tidy up, I leave nothing on the couch and need to prep for next class. Before I entered my class, I planned to take some pictures using my phone. I scrambled my inside bag, scoured the place that I had been and found none. Tried to ask my friend to call my number and it was shut. Then I realised it was nicked. The room which I entered was my GPK’s room. He had his laptop open, and possess same phone, but my, he was lucky. There were many people entered the office that day. Strange parents not to be mentioned. So, no suspect and I have to accept the fact. I entered my class with mixed feelings. I planned to teach them and it all went to the bin.

When the students misbehave, my throat feels dry and tears dwelling in my eyes. I warned them and looking at them with an austere expression. They did keep quiet. Afraid that I’d become a monster or  any other alien creature.

I really miss my Sony Ericsson K530i. It’s my blogging tool. I took pictures with it. Read RSS feeder. Check my blog’s comment from there (yes, I’m a narcissist). Video call. MMS everything. Seriously. I miss it so much. So click this to help me (emotionally, financially).

What I’m worried now is the person who were  nicked my phone will use my pictures irresponsibly. *takottttt* Oh oh, what if he uploads my pic on gadis melayu. Huwarghh *cry*

SEED cafe Midvalley

If you are looking for cheap, delicious and comfortable ambience for makan place and near to your favourite apparel store, you should read this.

I couldn’t think of better words to describe the cafe, thus, I quote the site.

Seed Café, is chic personified. It exudes a cool aura and this is its main selling point. The restaurants concept adapts a contemporary and simple outlook. The design and decoration gels in with Seed’s youthful and trendy image. It’s simple and tempting, serving a mix of Asian and Western food. (taken from Seed Cafe site)

There was not many people (there were 2 or 3 people that time, around 7pm) so we got our meal pretty quick (in 10 minutes I reckon). I didn’t even managed to finish reading magazines which are conveniently placed near customers’ dining table.

SEED cafe is a perfect place for fashionistas to hang out. After you had done your shopping, fill your stomach with good food from SEED cafe. The food is absolutely delicious and addictive (now I sound like chefs from UK. haha). Even Nisa had craving of SEED cafe’s chicken chop when she was in Perak.

Behold! I’m going to show off some good food from SEED cafe~ Continue reading

Fashionable geek

So, having a blog which makes a geek (read: boyfriend) cringed upon loading, will lead to endless argument. So, I’ve read Adam’s entry, which suggest SEO analysis site, and I thought of giving it a try.

I typed Qalamun.com and in less than 1 minutes, it reports my blog statistics. *holds chair for support*

It’s a very detailed report, mind you. Long detailed report but quick. Faster than your blood test result. It also gives recommendations on how to improve your blog. This is a quick, compulsory test I would say for fashionista’s blog because most of fashion blog have enormous size of images. Of course, we like to post pictures yada yada but still, we want to give pleasure to our readers. Having a blog which uploaded slowly like a sloth is sooo not fashionable.

So these are reports for most clicked fashion blog.

Nuffnang gift ideas

They (Nuffnang kompeni laa) promote Nuffnang gift idea and urges me to give a gift to another Nuffnanger. I browse the items, beauty and health shelf of course, and found this (GINTELL eye massager).
eye massager
It reminds me of a Nuffnanger who had eye problem. Once upon a day, she had severe problem with her left eye and was required to take MC due to it’s severity.

I know she needs this since she’s a workaholic mom and she wears contact lenses. Being a contact lens wearer myself, I know that one needs to take extra care for the eyes. Can’t wear the lenses more than 8 hours, can’t wear lenses when there’s insufficient liquid or moisture in one’s eyes. Can’t wear lenses when one is sick, and the list goes on. (I know, I know, beauty is pain)
kakred eyes

So this product would be an ideal gift too Kak Red because it:
– Promotes stronger blood circulation
– Prevents the onset of near sightedness
– helps to reduce tension and fatigue
– helps to Prevent eye bags and wrinkles around the eyes

Wah. Prevent eye bags and wrinkles around the eyes? Can I have it as well? It would be extra bonus if this eye massager has the function like Cyclops’ (the X-men, not the Greek’s myth) eyes, will make a good weapon for people who ogles me, innit?
cyclops xmen

Oh cyclops, why are you so handsome??

Motif permainan telefon berkarat

2 round, they didn’t deliever the message correctly.

Motif? News, info, gossips that we passed around, orally, usually incorrect. It tends to be added with extra spices, thrills, and controversial, or usually edited with some omission of important details and plots.
