What I learned from cricket coaching course?

I am talking about cricket the game, not the insect. So, I had 4 days of cricket course from MCA, in my beloved IPBA college. Would like to share you a bit of joke. The coaches are Indians, so they told us about the joke when people ask them where they are from, and then they answered “I am from MCA” and the person who asked looked at him from top to toe. Since MCA is famous acronym for Malaysian Chinese Association, and they are Indians. Lulz. So yeah. MCA in this context is Malaysian Cricket Association.

Quran geek

[Sebab Kak Mass menulis dalam Bahasa Melayu dengan harapan akan memperbaiki bahasa ibunda, maka saya pun berniat yang sama]

Mak selalu suruh saya belajar tajwid supaya bacaan saya betul. Hee. Kalau lepas ni ada offer bagus untuk belajar Quran dan masa mengizinkan, Insya Allah saya akan pergi belajar.

Oh, berbalik kepada tajuk entry. Kenapa Quran geek? Penggabungan Quran dan teknologi akan memudahkan orang-orang seperti saya (baca: geek) belajar tatabahasa Al Quran. Ada suara kecil bertanya “buat apa nak belajar tajwid Quran? reti baca cukup la”.

Amma is much successful than Juan Mann (remember the guy who hugs people in Sydney? with a cool song from sickpuppies). She gave away 26 million hugs man! While Juan Mann’s campaign is banned, Amma is welcomed globally and thousands are willing to wait for hours just to get a hug from Amma. I think our society is lacking of family institution’s love. All these materialism makes us forget what’s important and makes us leave people who love us. We are lacking the essence of life. That is love and embracing loved ones. Oh BTW, Amma has a website as well. Well, what do you expect? She’s so successful in NY, and she’s now in London! Gosh. These orang putih are kekurangan kasih sayang la I rasa. Luckily I live in Islam and we stress the importance of family institution. I think it’s simple. Amma gives genuine love and doesn’t ask for requited one.

Selepas dibersihkan

Ampun tuanku. Sembah patik harap diampun.

Patik memohon agar tuanku mengusulkan memorandum tersebut, suara hati rakyat jelata. Segala luah rasa rakyat di bawah naungan tuanku, segala jerih payah rakyat menempuhi bala tentera FRU, sumpitan air dan gas pemedih mata itu segalanya dilakukan untuk jajahan takluk tuanku. Sekalian rakyat jelata mahu melindungi tanah naungan tuanku. Patik harap tuanku mendengar isi hati rakyat jelata. Ampun tuanku.

Quote of the day

Meredith: At the end of the day faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don’t really expect it. It’s like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And it’s not so important happy ever after, just that its happy right now. See once in a while, once in a blue moon, people will surprise you , and once in a while people may even take your breath away (Ainee adds: if you’re lucky).

Some people are just lucky, they don’t have to tell others to be grateful because they don’t know how it feels like to be unlucky.

pink/breast cancer awareness

Bismillah. Today is 26th October and we are encouraged to show our support for breast cancer campaign. I’ve heard a lot from TV, individuals and many more about breast cancer. Awful stories generally but still, there are some inspiring stories, wanting others to take care of themselves.

It’s not just about breast. It’s about life and death. It’s about education and self-awareness and self-esteem. It’s about women.

Of cake and drive

What is the reason you wake up everyday? Drives lets you sail the life. Sometimes you don’t even realise that it gets you going naturally. So the famous quotation “That’s why I let the fate takes me wherever it wants to go”.

Yesterday, unbelievably, I baked a cake. Devil’s food cake it is called. Laugh hard if you want to but it’s tempting once you saw it. Oh, it drives me good, after loose 22 years of baking instant mixtures. I can be jealous of Farah’s talent, bragging her delicious juicy chocolate strawberry cake (or is it strawberry chocolate cake? idk). I can be jealous of Nisa for entering cake competition and knowing the right weigh and right method of baking. I can be jealous of Alin who memorise the whole cake bible. But I don’t. After 22 years, I baked a cake from scratch although I failed miserably, but I’m proud.
