Otai Vs McD

I craved for burger, as I don’t have many chance to eat it while I was in Plymouth. Is it worth it to wait for 2 years? (I ate a lot of McD before I went to the UK). Thus, I am comparing America’s most famous burger and Malaysia’s .

1- Cleanliness: Otai burger sellers handle the burgers and utensils with high level hygiene. Anywhere. It is proven by others as well (you see, after I promote it to people, I ask their reflection/feedback as well). While for McDonald, (I had a few trips and sometimes accompanying people) I am totally frustrated with the uncleanliness. Not just in Lumut, in KL as well. So the basic requirement for a food franchise, hygiene, wins by Otai.

2- Quality: McD burgers used to be the tastiest, but nowadays, the fries are overcooked. The burger size is shrinking. Big Mac’s bread is so thin to the extent once you hold it, it can tear apart easily. Otai burger’s taste is undoubtfully great. The meat is cooked with perfect timing. The taste is great. Taste it by yourself, then you’ll believe me.

3- Price: Last time, it was worth to spend RM10 at McDonald. Bak kata orang, kenyang nak mati. But now, I don’t think so. Otai burger’s price is a bit expensive than normal burger price (I mean, gerai burger like Ramly), but it never exceed 4 ringgit per burger, although the taste is priceless.

4- Reputation: McD has established worldwide, but there are a few controversial legal actions taken against them. Nowadays, my impression for McD is getting worse. For Otai, its successful story has captured by local Malaysian media. Many has found out that its’ great taste and reputation. I belive Otai’s chain will be larger and stronger in the future if they keep up their reputation, principles and the recipe.

Verdict: Otai wins, 4-0. As I reached Malaysia, I was eager to taste my favourite McD burger. However, I was disappointed. It’s not just me. My family members wish not to step into the restaurant anymore (we had really bad experience you see). Some of my friends agree with my points (as stated above). So, feed yourself better food because you deserve to eat good and your money should be spent on good food.

  3. otAi burger??nayyy…i don’t think so..i’ve tried it but it was a very disappointing experience..maybe YES to specific stall u referring, but not for all stall chain they have..they not maintain their food quality..

    though..its a good franchise food bisnes that bumiputra have..juz they need to maintain the quality..juz like their name OTAI refers to OLD-TIMER? OR the real meaning of OTAI is “Organisasi Tempat Ambil Ilmu”

    maybe dear, u shud try ‘the first burger’ location at bandar country homes, rawang..as i like it very much THE-MOST-SUPER-CRAVING burger i ever tried!

  4. i confused with burger otai’s ingredient..it’s mayonies not from malaysia..somebody should tell me..im not sure either all franchais use the same mayo or not.

  5. Sesiapa yang hendak menyertai otai francis. harap-harap pikir dulu masak-masak. Otai menjual dengan harga yang mahal. 1st day or 1st week or 1st month mungkin ramai orang. Ramai pun sebab mereka hendak rasa lepastu 2nd day or 2nd week or 2nd month memang rugi gila. sebab-sebabnya

    Jikalau hendak dibandingkan dengan McD. McD ade tempat berhawa dingin tempat terjamin. Gerai Otai… tempat panas tepi jalan asap-asap kereta. silap hari bulan jadi macam tempat aku gerai kena sondol dengan kereta. minta tolong otai repair. Tapi dia suruh kita repair sendiri masa baru-baru nak cerita cakap manis. indah rupa dari bahasa.

    2. Harga Gerai Mahal
    Jika kita hendak bukan sendiri gerai biasa semua set 1 gerai tidak sampai 5K tapi Otai charged 16.5K satu gerai takkan lintah darat namanya. memang dia sediakan loan PNSB tetapi yang menanggung adalah kita.

    3. Barangan mentah bukan asli Otai
    Ada sebuah kedai (nama kedai rahsia) mengaku Otai ada membeli bahan mentah dari mereka tetapi menukar plastik konon-konon Otai yang punya. Indah gambar dari rupa

    4. Jualan
    Jualan tidak dipantau oleh Otai. mereka hanya pandai memantau sahaja menolong promosi yang drop tiada langsung.

    Ahkir kata pikir-pikir la dahulu sebelum menjadi francis otai. Otai meniniaya orang melayu. ini bukannya hendak menaikkan orang melayu malah menjatuhkan orang melayu dengan mewujudkan bebanan hutang…

    Otai atau Along Melayu

    Saya bercerita atas dasar pengalaman dan ramai orang lagi yang diluar sana telah bungkus dan menanggung bebanan utang yang banyak.

  6. mungkin u pnya upline tak brape jaga kot. fwd kan benda ni pada boss besar. supposedly otai tolong orang kita. tapi iyelah, bila dah ramai2, mcm2 mazhab ada. sabar ye. insya allah sume org dah dituliskan rezeki masing2.

  7. mungkin ada benarnya rungutan tertipu td…otai nampaknya menekan francaisee dgn kos2 yg ‘melampau’ misalnya kiosk yg sememangnya kita boleh dapatkan dengan harga yg lebih murah….dgn 1 kiosk saje mereka telah mendapat keuntungan >10k…sedangkan francisee kena menanggung hutang dengan bank….bahan mentah pula boleh didapati dgn harga yg lebih murah dr pembekal2 di mana2 pun…tapi francisee diwajibkan mendapatkan stok dr francisor saja(atau kontrak di terminatekan) kalau kita tanya kepada peniaga2 burger jalanan yg lain….mereka menanggung kos overhead yg jauh lebih rendah drpd francisee otai…jgnla cakap soal hygiene,apa yg hygiene kalau stall di tepi longkang…tapi inilah hakikat perniagaan francais….francisor bertambah kaya..francaisee semakin terhimpit…so sapa2 yg nak kaya cepat…do come out with the idea…fikirkan satu perniagaan yg boleh difrancaiskan….boleh kutip francise fee banyak2,buat ofis cantik2,francisor duduk kat tepi jalan je…fikir2lah…kalau nak jual burger..ikut nasihat saya ni….fikir konsep sendiri…create resipi istimewa sendiri(hiasan,campuran sos,mayonis,roti dll) bahan mentah semuanya boleh dibeli dr pemborong frozen di merata2 tempat…modal x sampai 5k…jgn ada yg tertipu lagi…kesian orang melayu…niat nak kaya.tapi kecundang ditipu bangsa sendiri…nasib melayu
